The Mental Foundation
Elite Performance
Is Built On.

Physical preparation gets athletes to the starting line. What separates them after; that is built here. Identity, adversity response, confidence under pressure, and the psychology of performing when it matters most.

—What We Work On

The Psychology That Wins
Championships and Careers.

01

Identity & Confidence Under Pressure

Athletes who know who they are perform differently than athletes who don't. We build the identity stability and genuine confidence that holds up when the game is on the line, not the manufactured kind that collapses under scrutiny.

04

Impostor Syndrome & Competitive Ceiling

Most athletes at the elite level aren't limited by talent. They're limited by doubt, the internal narrative that says they don't belong at this level. We resolve that at its source, not its symptoms.

02

Adversity Response & Comeback Psychology

What separates elite performers isn't the absence of adversity. It's what they do with it. We develop the psychological framework and the identity depth, that drives authentic competitive resilience.

05

Performance Under Pressure

Focus, composure, pre-performance preparation, and the ability to perform at your ceiling when the moment is biggest. Developed systematically, not left to personality or luck.

03

Return to Elite Performance After Injury

Physical clearance and competitive readiness are not the same thing. The hesitation, the lost edge, the internal disconnect : those don't show up on an MRI. We address exactly that, grounded in original research on athlete identity and return-to-sport psychology.

06

Program Culture & Team Psychology

Mental performance isn't just an individual discipline. We work with coaching staffs and athletic organizations to build the psychological environment that brings out the best in athletes at every level of a program.

Most athletes navigating a serious challenge end up with a referral network (a sport psych consultant, a therapist, an addiction counselor) providers who don't communicate and who each see only a slice of the same person.

Jordan's combination of licensure, advanced clinical training, and PhD-level research means that whatever an athlete is carrying, performance, clinical, or personal, can be addressed in one place, by one practitioner who sees the whole picture.

If an athlete can experience it, Jordan has the training, licensure, and clinical framework to address it.

Clinical & Therapeutic

  • Sports Psychotherapy

Licensed clinical therapy contextualized to the athlete experience, not general mental health adapted for sport.

  • Trauma & EMDR

Evidence-based trauma resolution, including injury trauma, re-injury anxiety, and performance-blocking experiences.

  • Addiction & Substance Use

Advanced addiction training for athletes — addressed within the full context of athletic identity and performance.

  • Anxiety & Depression in Athletes

Clinical treatment of mood disorders within the specific pressures of competitive athletic life.

  • Career-Ending Injury & Loss

Licensed clinical support for the grief and identity collapse that follows an involuntary end to an athletic career.

  • Crisis & Acute Mental Health

Licensed capacity to respond when a situation moves beyond performance coaching into acute psychological need.

Identity, Life & Transition

  • Identity Loss & Reconstruction

Jordan's PhD research focus: the mechanism of identity disruption and the structured process of rebuilding.

  • Career Transition & Life After Sport

Purpose, direction, and identity outside of athletic competition ( for athletes at any stage of transition).

  • Purpose & Meaning After Athletics

Not just what you'll do next — but who you are when the sport no longer defines you.

  • Relationships & Life Challenges

Personal and relational challenges that affect performance whether addressed or not.

  • Public Adversity & Reputation Recovery

Psychological support and identity work for athletes navigating public scrutiny, media, or reputational events.

  • Speaking, Education & Program Training

Keynotes, workshops, and staff training translating research and clinical expertise into culture-level impact.

"Most practitioners specialize in one dimension of the athlete's experience. Jordan works across all of them — because that's how athletes actually live."

About Jordan

I Research What Breaks Athletes Down.
I Build What Gets Them Back.

"At 16, a spinal injury ended my career as a four-sport varsity athlete overnight. Relearning to walk was the straightforward part. Rebuilding my identity took years longer — and nobody had a protocol for it."

My PhD research in performance psychology is focused specifically on that gap: athlete identity, adversity response, and the psychology of returning to elite performance after disruption. Not in the abstract; in the real and measurable ways it affects competitive output and career trajectory.

I bring clinical depth to performance work that most sport psychology practitioners don't carry. That depth matters when an athlete's performance challenge has roots that standard mental skills training doesn't reach; when there's something underneath the hesitation, the lost edge, or the plateau that requires more than a visualization exercise.

I work with elite athletes and programs who understand the difference between checking a box on mental performance and actually building it. If that's who you are, I'd like to talk.
